The CBFC is back to its prudish ways and is going heavily against two movies. One is Kushan Nandy’s Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, which stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui. And the other is a Malayalam film ‘Ka Bodyscapes’.
The censor board has scissored 48 scenes from Babumoshai Bandookbaaz and has given the movie A certificate. Times of India reported that CBFC asked to get rid of profanity in the movie. Pahlaj Nihalani, the censor board chief, said to Kushal Nandy that he is lucky, his movie is not being banned!
Kiran Shroff, the producer of the film, said that CBFC members misbehaved with her and even went to the extent of questioning her identity as a woman.
The Malayalam movie ‘Ka Bodyscapes’ is based on the relationship between two men and it is struggling to get a censor certificate. It will be reviewed by the CBFC second time after the production team of the movie approached the Kerala High Court.
