A truck full of cigarettes worth 4 crores was looted by a group of armed men near Hyderabad. The truck was transporting cigarettes from Hyderabad to Tirupati. The robbers tied the drivers and fled.

The driver’s job was to transport cigarettes from the ITC Ltd in Hyderabad to other locations.

The driver, Akhilesh Kumar Yadav, started off at around 10:30 PM. He noticed that around 30 people are following him and then a jeep came in front of his truck and weapons were pointed at him.

Akhilesh was tied and taken to a forest location where 8 men stayed for an hour. He managed to reach the road and contacted the cops from a nearby hotel. The police immediately came to the spot but they couldn’t trace anything.

The robbers have been booked under IPC 395 and nine special police units have been formed to find them.
