“Dead Man Walking” will no longer fight in the WWE arena and exhilarate wrestling fans with chokeslam and tombstone pile-driver, his signature finishing moves.

One of the most popular WWE wrestlers of all times, The Undertaker ( real name Mark Calaway ), announced his retirement after losing to Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 33 – the biggest WWE special pay-per-view wrestling event of the year. Prior to this year’s WrestleMania, Undertaker lost only once at a WrestleMania event in more than two decades. At Wrestlemania 30 he lost to Brock Lesnar and his undefeated 21-0 record was broken.

The Undertaker’s ” Hell in a Cell ” matches were legendary stuff for professional wrestling enthusiasts. He enjoyed cult popularity, especially amongst those who grew up in the mid-1990s.

Undertaker started his WWE career in 1990 and since then he changed his on-screen avatar, persona, and appearance quite a few times. From a Harley Davidson riding, Bandana wearing, American flag waving baddie, to donning a black cloak and a big black hat, along with supernatural lightning, scare tactics, a graveyard picture on the background screen, and horror music as his entry theme.

The Undertaker’s famous wrestling rivalries were with The Rock, Randy Orton, Triple H, and Kane. He was WWE champion four times and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion three times.

His retirement is an end of an era of thrill, suspense, theatrics, special effects, fear, excitement and jaw-dropping wrestling moves in WWE.
