From House Of Cards, Narcos to 13 Reasons Why; Netflix Originals have been a runaway success and watching Netflix is the new fad. Riding high on the great response from India; Netflix Originals is now coming up with a new series especially tailor-made for the Indian audience in the Hindi language. Yeah, that’s right!

Netflix has signed up Saif Ali khan to play protagonist Sartaj Singh in Sacred Games, a Netflix Originals series based on a 2006 novel by Vikram Chandra. Saif will play the role of a police officer in Mumbai who is dealing with organised crime, corruption and terrorism.

Sacred games is the first Netflix series to be made in India. The original novel is about 1000 pages which is big enough for multiple seasons. The series will be produced in collaboration with Phantom Films which was established by Anurag Kashyap, director Vikramaditya Motwane, producer Madhu Mantena and the former head of UTV Spotboy Vikas Bahl. With the involvement of Anurag Kashyap and company, we are sure Sacred Games is going to be one hell of a series to wait for.

Saif Ali Khan is working on many national and global projects recently, including Rangoon, a remake of Hollywood movie Chef, a comedy movie Kaalakaandi and Bazaar, which is based on corporate world.
