Mumbai’s romance with rains is not new. Unlike the rest of India, the city literally celebrates the arrival of monsoon and embraces its existence with open arms. Tea and some piping hot pakodas are all you need to enjoy the earthy smell of the first monsoon rains. For a moment people leave aside their worries of potholes filled with muddy water, delay of local trains and all the troubles they would face commuting in rains. They just enjoy the pure beauty of thundering monsoon, showering its love over the city of dreams.
The megacity recorded its first pre-monsoon shower on Friday and that too almost two weeks before the last year pre-monsoon shower which hit the city on 25 May 2016. And the Twitterati was more than excited. Here is how people shared their wit and excitement about #MumbaiRains.

Wish this rain would have happened a couple of days back. At the Justin Bieber concert. No hard feelings. Just. For. Fun. Hehe #mumbairains
