Cancer with its malignant tendencies can break the mightiest of hearts and souls. But Ranchi based Tushar Rishi didn’t bow down to the disease and managed to score a whopping 95% in his class 12 examinations, the results of which were declared on Sunday. Unlike many of his science stream peers, the bright and perseverant student is not too keen on pursuing engineering and wants to study either English or Economics in Delhi University. Rishi was detected with knee cancer right after his Class 10 mock exams and had to undergo chemotherapy for the same. But when he returned, it was with a bang. He scored a perfect 10 CGPA in his Class 10 exams. Rishi’s mother is a professor at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra while his father works in the state agriculture department.

Chronicling his struggle with cancer, Rishi has written a book as well, titled, “Patient Patient” which, according to him, is doing quite well on Amazon. Such stories inspire and motivate us to fight back daunting challenges that life keeps throwing on us and emerge stronger, every time.
