Raising question to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during the 4th Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit organized by Entrepreneurs’ Association (BEA) on Tuesday became a nightmare for two entrepreneurs. The duo Nemi Kumar, 43 years and Suresh Kumar Sharma, 46 years were detained to Gandhi Maidan Police Station and held captive for 6 hours without food and water. They were also barred from making any contact with their family members and not allowed to use the toilet as well as.

Their contempt was that they raised the contention of transparency in the acceptance or rejection of the proposals and the harassment done by banks in providing loans. Nitish Kumar addressed the issue raised by them and directed the officials of industries department and BEA authority to bring the transparency. He also asked the applicants to inform the reason for rejections of the proposal. Nitish even directed the police personnel to ensure that they meet them before they leave and the police did the same.

But the skit played just after that was beyond their imagination as police bundled them in the jeep and took to the Gandhi Maidan Police Station. There they were treated as criminal and asked to sit and wait for DSP (Town) Kailash Prasad. After six hours when DSP did not turn up, they were asked to leave.
Prominent entrepreneur and chairman of the Bihar chapter of Ph.D. Chamber of Commerce Satyajit Singh was irked with this incident. While Industries Minister Jai Kumar Singh who attended the function asked for the report as to why these entrepreneurs were taken to the police station.
