Use your thumb and index finger of one hand to pinch the skin of the back of your other hand. If it takes no time to bounce back, you are hydrated. However, if it takes some time to return to its original shape, it means that your body a greater amount of water. Simple, right?

According to experts, the ability of your body to change shape and return to its original shape is directly related to how hydrated you are. The elastic your skin is, it’s better for you.

Dehydration

Another way to check your hydration levels is to pay attention to the color of your urine. If it is light yellow and almost transparent, it means that your water intake is good. But, if your pee is dark in color and it has a distinct smell, you might need to gulp a few more glasses of water down.

It is advisable that for a healthy body, you should drink six to eight glasses of water daily. Body hydration can also be replenished through sugar-free drinks, low-fat milk, tea or coffee as well. High doses of caffeine can dehydrate you, while juices and other fluids contain sugars that can damage your teeth, so don’t go overboard with these alternatives.
