Apple to discontinue the sales of iPod Nano
The iPod revolutionized the music industry in the 21st century, in a way the Walkmans and Discmans did in 1970s and 1980s. It was a rage for 16 years among music lovers. But now Apple has pulled the iPod Nano from the shelves. iPod touch would be still available though.
Current generation smartphone users are not much of iPod enthusiasts, so they won’t be sad over the demise of the iPhone era. iPod sales were gradually falling over the years and Apple had stopped reporting separate sales even. Tim Cook, the Apple CEO, said in 2014 “All of us have known for some time that iPhone is a declining business”.
